To establish and organize all those serving the appraisal process to better serve the interests of all parties in a fair and equitable manner while maintaining the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.
To provide education to improve the understating of the appraisal process by educating umpires, appraisers, government bodies, and other interested parties based upon the current case law, proposed and enacted legislation and to further our member’s professional experience.
To maintain representation before governmental agencies that propose and enact legislation that are of importance to the appraisal process.
To promote networking and the exchange of information from all those involved with the appraisal process.
To assist in the enactment of all laws and regulations pertaining to the appraisal process enacted by the Federal and State Courts, State Legislatures & Departments of Insurance.
To furnish universal forms and procedures for the betterment of all its members and the entire process.
To administer Certification for appraisers and umpires, who successfully complete the IAUA Certification Course and successfully pass the respective exam.
To publish a Certified Directory for all certified members.
To encourage professionalism and high ethical standards for all participates in the appraisal process by adhering to the Code of Ethics.
