Robert Norton, CPCU |
Mr. Norton has over 30 years’ experience in the Property and Casualty industry, with 10 years’ additional experience in contracting, providing a unique depth and breadth of knowledge, earned through decades of battle proven experience. Issues with International Code, Wind Load/Damage, Repair vs Replace, mitigation and building envelope hardening are well known and handled efficiently, as well as extensive experience in CA and HI dealing with canyon access and hillside construction with related scope and pricing implications. Bob’s resume is extensive, with post graduate college studies in Finance and Dispute Resolution, as well as significant licensing and certifications. As a licensed adjuster in many states, and a Florida Licensed General Contractor, he also holds the CPCU, the highest credential conferred in the P&C industry. Bob’s recent 10 plus years reflects a focus on dispute resolution; he is one of the cofounders of the IAUA, a Board member since inception, and has trained hundreds of individuals, many of which have earned Certification as Appraiser and/or Umpire. Bob has been Court appointed as Umpire in multiple jurisdictions, State and Federal Courts, is frequently engaged as an expert, and has been named Special Master for matters pending in court. Robert Hugh Joslin is Hawaii’s only Certified Professional Public Adjuster (CPPA) as designated by the Insurance Institute of America (IIA). He is an active officer of the National Association of Public Adjuster (NAPIA). He has served as the Secretary, Treasurer and is now serving as the National Vice President (3th) at NAPIA for the 2022/2023 term.
