• Legal Issues in Appraisal - Global Perspective: 
• • Steven J. Badger, Esq. and William F. "Chip" Merlin, Jr., Esq. discuss legal considerations in appraisal during the ongoing "Battle of Merlin vs Badger."

• Lunch (provided)

• • Who May Serve as Appraiser, Who Should?
  • Unique Elements of Loss in Appraisal
  • Repair vs Replace, is Causation Coverage?
  • Be the Appraiser / Umpire that You Would Hire - Chip Merlin

Day 2 - Wednesday August 12

Morning

• Check-in & Breakfast (provided): 7:45 AM - 8:30 AM
• Certification Class - addresses Appraiser and Umpire

• Certification Exams (proctored): 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
  (Requires device operable on battery for 60 minutes)

Cancellation Policy

More than 30 days: Full refund or transfer to another event.
30 to 8 days: Refund minus $100 processing fee or full IAUA event credit.
7 to 3 days: $100 credit for a future event.
2 days or less: No refund or credit.

As a nonprofit, we make financial commitments for venue, catering, and event logistics based on registrations. Because of these costs, we are unable to offer full refunds close to the event.

Dress Code

Dress code for all IAUA events is "Smart Casual" unless a stricter dress code is required by our host location. Please dress like a professional - no shorts or t-shirts with large graphics on them.
